Genre: New Adult/ Romance
Goodreads Rating: 4.22
My Rating: 3.5 stars.

Summery...
Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Review.

Beautiful Disaster was the first ever New Adult book I had ever read and honestly it was exactly what I expected it to be, hot bad boy who all the girls love and loves playing with girls hearts falls for girl who at first hates him and is disgusted with how he treats woman, and just as i expected, I loved it! Sure the writing was nothing to be wowed at and the ending was a little disappointing for me, but I loved the romance at times and loved the cheeseness of it.

However i did give this book  a 3.5 (along with the sequel Walking Disaster) and there was a reason for that... multiple reasons actually. First of is the romance. Yes at times it was addictive and cheesy and obsessive and everything i expected it to be, but at times it was seriously annoying me. I cant even count how many times they broke up and got back together and then broke up again and then got back together again and then.... well... you get the picture. Kind of reminded me of the Taylor Swift song 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' and Abby really should have just taken Taylor's wise advice because things were getting a teensy bit repetitive.

Another thing that annoyed me about this book is that the main male Travis literally beat up people over the simplest of things. They say one thing that annoyed him just a little bit and suddenly they were on the ground with a bloody nose and a broken rib... he had some serious anger issues and no one ever did anything about it! I feel like this situation should have been dealt with much more seriously then it was! I mean, they were in a school for Pete's sake! A teacher should have talked to him or given him detention! But it was just brushed aside.

Jaime Mcguire tried to do a plot twist in order to drift it away from the stereotypical bad boy falls for good girl by making the good girl a bad girl... but the reason for this for me was ridiculous! I was expecting this amazing reveal at the end that she had robbed a bank or something.. cause that was how she was acting the entire time.. but when we find out what it is i was actually disappointing and not really shocked, so that part for me was a little underwhelming. I was also disappointing immensely by the ending and thought it was a bit to abrupt.

This review may seem rather negative but please don't let it put you off. Yes there were many things i did not like about this duology, but that doesn't mean i didn't love the addictive romance and how quick and fast paced it was. Its the perfect beach read and I really do recommend it. Just some aspects where a bit disappointing.

Thanks for reading!
